Hoy traemos un nuevo modelo para los amantes de los recortables y de la franquicia Pokémon: Metapod, el popular Pokémon capullo, en su versión del juego My Pokémon Ranch para Wii. Este modelo mide 20 cm de alto, cuenta con 37 piezas y está disponible en archivos PDO y PDF para facilitar su montaje.
My Pokémon Ranch: Un juego peculiar
Lanzado en 2008 para la consola Wii, My Pokémon Ranch fue un título desarrollado por Ambrella que permitía a los jugadores almacenar sus Pokémon de las ediciones Diamante y Perla en un rancho virtual. Aunque el juego no ofrecía batallas ni una gran interactividad, sí permitía ver a los Pokémon en un entorno relajado, tomar capturas de pantalla y compartirlos con amigos. Para los fans, era una manera divertida de exhibir sus criaturas en un estilo chibi y cúbico, característico del juego.
Metapod: Un Pokémon con paciencia
Metapod, el Pokémon Capullo, es la evolución de Caterpie y la fase previa a Butterfree. Su apariencia rígida y su limitada movilidad lo han convertido en un icono de la estrategia defensiva dentro del universo Pokémon. En los juegos de la serie principal, es famoso por su movimiento Fortaleza, que incrementa su defensa pero lo deja sin muchas opciones ofensivas. Sin embargo, es una etapa necesaria para obtener un poderoso Butterfree, capaz de aprender movimientos como Psíquico y Tornado.
En My Pokémon Ranch, Metapod mantiene su aspecto simplificado y cúbico, lo que lo hace perfecto para un modelo de papercraft. Su forma geométrica facilita el montaje, pero conserva la esencia del personaje.

My Pokémon Ranch: A Unique Game
Released in 2008 for the Wii console, My Pokémon Ranch was a title developed by Ambrella that allowed players to store their Pokémon from the Diamond and Pearl editions in a virtual ranch. While the game didn't offer battles or much interactivity, it did allow players to view their Pokémon in a relaxed environment, take screenshots, and share them with friends. For fans, it was a fun way to showcase their creatures in the chibi and cubic style characteristic of the game.
Metapod: A Pokémon with Patience
Metapod, the Cocoon Pokémon, is the evolution of Caterpie and the stage before Butterfree. Its rigid appearance and limited mobility have made it an icon of defensive strategy within the Pokémon universe. In the main series games, it is famous for its Harden move, which increases its defense but leaves it with few offensive options. However, it is a necessary stage to obtain a powerful Butterfree, capable of learning moves like Psychic and Gust.
In My Pokémon Ranch, Metapod retains its simplified and cubic look, making it perfect for a papercraft model. Its geometric shape makes assembly easier while preserving the essence of the character.
